The Giving Garden

Along with the Nokomis East Neighborhood Association (NENA) and other neighbors, gardening has become an act of service at St. James.

Crops include lettuce, kale, beans, chard, peppers of all kinds, beets, radishes, onions, herbs and, for the first time, squash.

Typical summer harvests yield 400 to 500 lbs. of produce — all donated to Minnehaha and Food Shelf and to other neighborhood food ministries.

Stop by on most-any summer evening, and help us weed, water, harvest, and enjoy the camaraderie of God’s bounty.
